About the Library
WRISTORIAN® Library brings together original white papers, books by Tom Warburton, and films and conversations exploring antique, vintage, neo-vintage and modern watches. Across these formats, WRISTORIAN considers how timepieces are designed, made, aged, restored, valued, worn and passed forward.
The subjects range from horological history, materials and mechanical construction to collecting behavior, market structure, emerging technology and responsible stewardship. Each begins with the same premise: meaningful objects and consequential decisions deserve careful observation, disciplined research and long-term perspective.
White Papers
WRISTORIAN White Papers are concise, evidence-based studies of horological questions that rarely yield simple answers. The series ranges from reference histories and design evolution to condition, originality, restoration, servicing, wearability, market behavior and future repairability.
Some papers look backward at materials, manufacturing methods and provenance. Others look ahead to artificial intelligence, new technologies, changing centers of watchmaking and the process by which today’s watches will become tomorrow’s vintage objects. Each paper seeks to clarify the evidence, identify the tradeoffs and distinguish documented fact from assumption, judgment and personal preference.
Books By Tom Warburton
Tom Warburton’s books explore collecting, investing and purpose through the lens of long-term decision-making. Timeless Wealth Management and Purposeful Wealth Management examine the principles underlying thoughtful financial choices, while the forthcoming Purposeful Investing in Vintage Patek Philippe applies many of those ideas to collecting, valuation, preservation and intergenerational responsibility.

Films & Conversations
Films and recorded conversations present Tom Warburton’s in-hand examinations and personal reflections on watches and collecting.
