Our Policy

At WRISTORIAN®, every timepiece is researched, evaluated and presented with care. This policy reflects the singular nature of collectible timepieces while standing firmly behind the accuracy of our representations and the security of our delivery.

Final Sale

Purchases are not returnable because of preference or a change of mind. If a timepiece is materially not as described, an accompanying item is missing, or there is evidence of transit damage or apparent tampering, please contact WRISTORIAN within 24 hours of carrier-confirmed delivery so the matter can be reviewed promptly and fairly.

Issues Eligible for Review

A timely request may be reviewed when:

  • The timepiece is materially different from its published description or imagery.
  • An accompanying item expressly included in the listing is missing.
  • There is evidence of transit damage or apparent tampering.

A material discrepancy may concern the identity, reference, case, dial, movement, materials, disclosed condition, known restoration, listed accompaniments or expressly stated operational condition of the timepiece.

Matters That Are Not Return-Eligible

Return eligibility does not extend to preference, fit, buyer’s remorse or a change of mind; characteristics, wear, patina, restoration or imperfections disclosed in the listing or visible in the published imagery; ordinary photographic or screen-color variation; expectations not stated in the listing; delivery or customs delays outside WRISTORIAN’s control; subsequent market conditions; or future mechanical or timekeeping performance that was not expressly promised.

Reporting an Issue

Contact WRISTORIAN within 24 hours of carrier-confirmed delivery. Include the order information, a clear description of the concern and photographs or video sufficient to document the timepiece, parcel, shipping labels, packing materials and all accompanying items.

Please retain the timepiece, all accompanying items and all packaging in the condition received while the matter is under review. WRISTORIAN may request additional information reasonably necessary to evaluate the matter.

Preserving Return Eligibility

Do not wear, size, open, service, adjust, polish, engrave, alter, disassemble or return the timepiece unless WRISTORIAN provides written instructions. Evidence of post-delivery wear, sizing, opening, service, adjustment, alteration or damage will render the timepiece ineligible for return, except where WRISTORIAN authorized the action in writing or applicable law requires otherwise.

Any strap, including a brand-name strap, described as new or unworn must remain in its original unworn condition. It must not be bent, fitted, buckled, creased or show a pin-buckle insertion mark. Protective films, tags, boxes, documents, certificates, accessories, bracelet links and all other accompanying items must remain intact and be returned in the condition received.

Review and Return Authorization

Reporting an issue does not automatically authorize a return or refund. WRISTORIAN will review the listing, order records and supporting documentation and may request additional information.

If a return is authorized, WRISTORIAN will provide written packing, insurance and shipping instructions. The parcel must be tendered to the designated carrier within the period specified in those instructions. An unauthorized, self-directed or uninsured return may be refused and remains entirely at the buyer’s risk.

Return Shipping, Insurance and Charges

Unless WRISTORIAN agrees otherwise in writing or applicable law requires otherwise, the buyer is responsible for return shipping, insurance, customs clearance, duties, taxes, brokerage charges, bank fees and other third-party costs incurred in returning a timepiece.

The buyer must follow WRISTORIAN’s written return instructions and the applicable Shipping & Delivery policy. Any return-related amount assessed to WRISTORIAN may be deducted from an approved refund.

Inspection and Resolution

An authorized return will be inspected after receipt. Return eligibility is confirmed only after that inspection establishes that the requirements of this policy have been satisfied.

If WRISTORIAN confirms that the reported issue is materially inconsistent with the listing or resulted from covered transit damage or apparent tampering, WRISTORIAN will determine an appropriate resolution. The resolution may include correction, replacement where available, a full or partial refund, or another mutually agreed resolution.

If a returned timepiece or accompanying item shows post-delivery wear, strap use, sizing, opening, service, adjustment, alteration, damage, missing contents or another loss in value, WRISTORIAN may deny the refund or reduce it by the resulting diminution in value and reasonable associated costs, to the extent permitted by law.

Any approved refund will be issued by bank wire to the originating account or by another mutually documented method after inspection and final approval.

Authenticity, Manufacturer Coverage and Mechanical Performance

Every timepiece is protected by WRISTORIAN’s Lifetime Guarantee of Authenticity.

WRISTORIAN offers antique, vintage, neo-vintage, modern and new timepieces. A manufacturer’s warranty may or may not apply to an individual timepiece. Any manufacturer coverage is provided solely by the manufacturer, is subject to its terms and may not be transferable. Unless expressly stated in the individual listing, WRISTORIAN makes no representation concerning the availability, duration, transferability or enforceability of manufacturer coverage. The buyer is responsible for confirming eligibility and pursuing any claim directly with the manufacturer or its authorized service provider.

WRISTORIAN does not promise or warrant any level or degree of timekeeping accuracy, rate, power reserve, water resistance or future mechanical performance. Any rate, amplitude, power-reserve observation or test result stated in a listing is a snapshot recorded under the stated conditions and is not a promise of present or future performance. A delivery-time mechanical concern may be reviewed only when the condition at delivery materially contradicts the operational condition expressly stated in the listing.

For additional context, please see Understanding Vintage Timepieces.

Applicable Law

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts or waives any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or waived under applicable law.
